In short, HDPE is suitable for storing alcohol and products containing ethanol such as hand sanitiser.

HDPE plastics will degrade in just under 100 years depending on the thickness of the plastic used, it is probably also the most recognized recyclable plastic and takes much less energy to recycle than to manufacture from ‘virgin’ materials.
